Hard Case Ice Packs, Clear, 2 Pack
Two clear 13" x 10" shells for a 16–32 qt cooler.
Our hard case ice packs are the ones you can drop, stack and stand on edge. Each 13" x 10" shell takes about five pounds of water, locks it in with a screw cap and freezes to 18°F — colder than the ice it replaces, and it keeps that cold for 24 to 48 hours in a decent cooler.

Three clear shells — the right count for a 32 qt cooler.

A hard case ice pack is a sealed HDPE and polycarbonate shell, 13" x 10" x 1.4", that holds about five pounds of water mixed with our cooling formula. Once frozen it sits at 18°F, colder than ice, and it keeps that cold for 24 to 48 hours in an insulated hard cooler. The shell does not flex, so you can stack cans and meat trays on top of it, drop it on a dock or wedge it against a cooler wall without it creasing.
We make the hard pack in two finishes — clear and dark gray — and in 2 and 3 packs. The clear shell lets you see the mix during the first fill; the gray hides scuffs. Inside, they are the same pack.
One hard pack replaces a 7 lb bag of ice. A 16 quart cooler takes up to 2, a 32 quart up to 3, a 48 quart up to 4, a 64 to 80 quart up to 5, and a 96 quart up to 10. On trips longer than two days, add a top layer of cubes: the hard packs hold the long cold at the bottom while the cubes chill fresh drinks fast.
Hard packs arrive empty with the cooling mix inside. Add water slowly through the cap, tilt and shake as you go so the powder mixes evenly, and stop at the fill line. Freeze flat for a full 48 hours before the first trip. After that, a night in the freezer is enough. The cap stays on for life.
Traditional ice gives you a few hours of strong cold and then a cooler full of water. Our hard case ice packs are designed the other way round: the cooling power is locked inside a durable, leak-resistant shell, so the cold stays where you put it and the cooler floor stays dry. That steady performance is why they are our most popular choice for road trips, fishing and long outdoor adventures, and why so many owners call them the best upgrade they made to their cooler game.
Because the shell is rigid, the packs also pack with real efficiency. They stand like dividers, so you can build custom zones — meat on one side, drinks on the other — and nothing shifts around on a bumpy road. Compared with soft gel packs, a hard case pack carries more frozen mass, which means more cold for longer, wherever the cooler ends up.
Everyday use is just as simple: one pack in a large lunch cooler for a long shift, two in a 16 quart cooler for a day at the lake. These reusable cooling solutions were engineered to be refrozen hundreds of times, so the long-lasting cold does not cost you a bag of ice every weekend.
