Our cold story

It started with a cooler full of water. Not the good kind — the kind with a floating sandwich bag and a label peeling off a soda can. We were tired of buying ice every Friday and draining it every Sunday, and we were sure a cold pack could do better.
The 18°F idea
Most cold packs freeze at about the same temperature as water. We went looking for a mix that freezes lower, so the pack would start colder and stay colder for longer. The formula we settled on freezes and holds at 18°F. Put it in a cooler and it is working below the freezing point of the ice it replaces.
The first packs were simple foil pouches that owners filled with water at home. That is still the heart of our screw-top line. Later came the rigid hard case for people who wanted to stack and stand packs, the handles for deep coolers, the small lunch size people kept asking for, and prefilled gel packs for mornings with no time for a funnel.
Who we make them for
Anglers keeping a catch cold on the pier. Families packing for a lake weekend. Nurses and flight crews whose lunch has to survive a twelve-hour day. Parents with bottles in a diaper bag. If you have a cooler or a lunch bag, you are who we have in mind.
